Accra Agenda for Action
In September 2008, the statement known as the Action Agenda for Action was endorsed “to accelerate and deepen implementation of the Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness.” The statement includes the following commentary on country ownership:
“Developing countries determine and implement their development policies to achieve their own economic, social and environmental goals. We agreed in the Paris Declaration that this would be our first priority. Today, we are taking additional steps to turn this resolution into a reality.”
